While working exclusively for TGI Fridays, way early in my agency endeavor, the phone rings. The incoming number says 'New York Times.' I had been working with their reporter on Friday’s campaign and thought this was a follow-up. It wasn’t. The reporter said he had a friend at ABC doing a segment on the housing craze in 2008, specifically in Charlotte. He said, “She needs a realtor and an analyst for her segment. Can you pull that together?” At the time, all answers were yes, figure it out later. I said yes. He said, “Good, it’s Kate Snow from Nightline, she just landed in Charlotte.” I scrambled, calling two of my better friends: one a realtor, the other an analyst. I thought, what a break! I get to hang with Kate Snow and get a story on Nightline. Kate Snow kicked me to the curb and spent the day with my realtor and analyst. #norespect
